There are a few things I absolutely could not live without: my camera, a sharp pencil, my bike, sichuan peppercorns—and the rush I get when I come up with a great idea.
Did my first ad gig at TBWA\Chiat Day. I nailed an Absolut bottle ad, and made some fun spots for Embassy Suites which ended up winning a Grand Effie. The next one was at Arnold NY where I worked on travel, sports, and packaged goods - and got a Gold Effie for some quirky spots I did for Trivial Pursuit.
Since Arnold, I've lanced freely working at digital agencies, fashion agencies. fun, exhilaratingly smart places like Taxi and David and Goliath. And a non-profit agency where my partner and I put together a year-long series of events for education reform.
In between I've traveled cross country with an author to record her book tour. Went to Asia to check out China. Studied design with Milton Glaser and Steve Heller. Shot photography projects. Worked with a fashion photographer. Learned to paint. And learned to code - I know, crazy. (I also took anatomy and calculus in college.)
